Hello!
We're Andy, Rob and Andrea, and we'd love to welcome you to Moor Nook Primary School.
Let's start with something you won't often read on a school website...
We're not perfect.
No school is.
Sometimes we'll get things wrong. Sometimes you'll disagree with us. Sometimes we'll make mistakes. When that happens, we'll listen, we'll learn, we'll put things right and we'll keep moving forward—together.
Because that's what good people do.
What you can expect from us is simple.
You'll find a school full of people who care deeply about children.
A school where every child matters.
A school where kindness is never mistaken for weakness, where hard work is celebrated, laughter is encouraged and everyone is expected to look after one another.
We believe every child deserves adults who refuse to give up on them.
Some children will race ahead.
Some will need a little more time.
Some will make us laugh every day.
Some will test every ounce of our patience.
They're all our kids, and they all belong here.
That's why we say Moor Nook is a school for everyone.
We're ambitious too.
We want children to leave us as confident readers, curious thinkers, brilliant mathematicians, kind friends, resilient young people and proud members of their community.
We want them to discover talents they never knew they had and leave believing there are no limits to what they can achieve.
You'll notice that things are changing.
New books are filling our library.
Our youngest children are learning in exciting new classrooms.
Our curriculum is growing stronger.
Our expectations are rising.
Most importantly, our belief in this community has never been higher.
Everything we do is guided by four simple values.
We C.A.R.E.
Creativity – because imagination changes lives.
Aspiration – because every child should dream big.
Resilience – because falling down isn't failing; staying down is.
Equality – because everyone deserves to belong.
These aren't just words on a poster.
They're promises.
If your child joins Moor Nook, we'll know them, we'll encourage them, we'll challenge them and we'll celebrate them.
We'll cheer the tiny victories as loudly as the big ones.
We'll always try to do the right thing.
And if we don't...
...we'll put it right.
Whether you've been part of Moor Nook for years, you're returning to us, or you're visiting for the very first time, our door is always open.
Come in.
Have a brew.
Meet the team.
Watch the children.
Ask us the difficult questions.
We think you'll find something rather special beginning to grow here.
Because it really is...
Time to come back to Moor Nook.
We won't ask you to believe every word on this page. We'd much rather show you. Pop in for a brew, have a look around, and let the children tell the story.
