Ofsted Report

The new Ofsted - the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills - came into being on 1 April 2007. Ofsted inspects and regulates care for children and young people, and also education and training for learners of all ages.

Ofsted carries out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits each week, publishing their findings within the Inspection reports area of the Ofsted website (external link). Ofsted's themed and subject specific findings and recommendations on wider issues within the care, learning, and skills agenda are also published on the website. The reports can be a valuable source of information for parents, learners and children.
