Our Vision for French
Statement of Intent
At Moor Nook we believe:
The learning of a foreign language provides a valuable educational, social and cultural experience for pupils.
the earlier a child is exposed to a foreign language, the faster the language is acquired and the learning becomes deeper and longer lasting.
that the early acquisition of a foreign language facilitates the learning of other languages later in life.
Our Intention at Moor Nook Community school is;
to develop children’s experience of language acquisition and encourage curiosity about languages to lay a foundation for future learning
to build a MfL curriciulum that develops their understanding of what they hear and read, so children have the ability to express themselves.
to help children develop their awareness and interest of cultural differences in other countries
Aims We aim for children to leave Moor Nook Community school passionate linguists so they can continue to explore the wider world.
