  • Ms Clough

    Headteacher

    Ms Clough is our Headteacher. She started at Moor Nook in September 2015 and has enjoyed getting to know all the children. She lives in Lancaster and has a grown up son. She enjoys camping, cooking and riding her motorbike.

  • Mrs Paterson

    Deputy Headteacher

    Mrs Paterson is our Deputy Headteacher and has been at Moor Nook since 2003. Mrs Paterson lives in Blackpool with her husband and son. She enjoys going on holiday and visiting new places as well as working out at the gym.

  • Mrs Jaeger

    Assistant Headteacher

    Mrs Jaeger is one of the Assistant Headteachers, the SENDCo and teaches in Year 5. Mrs Jaeger lives in Southport, with her husband and young, very energetic daughter! She enjoys reading, shopping and having fun with her family and friends.

  • Ms Lowe

    School Business Manager

    Ms Lowe joined the school in September 2017, she enjoys going for walks with her dog Hamish. She has two sons and a beautiful grandson.

  • Mr Cuff

    Business Support Officer

    Mr Cuff joined the reception team in 2015. He lives in Blackburn and supports the School Business Manager in the office. In his spare time he enjoys football, rugby and coaching cricket.

  • Mr Killeen

    Site Supervisor

    Mr Killeen is our school caretaker. He loves motorcross and doing DIY. He also enjoys spending time with his family and loves watching Tottenham play.

    Learning Mentor

    Miss Bate is our Learning Mentor and she started at Moor Nook in 2017.

  • Miss Caunce

    Assistant Headteacher, Early Years Foundation Stage Lead and Reception Teacher

    Miss Caunce is an Assistant Headteacher, Early Years Foundation Stage Lead and Reception teacher. She started working for our school in April 2017. In her spare time Miss Caunce enjoys organising fundraising events for Bowel Cancer UK and going on holiday to different places.

  • Ms Duerden

    Nursery Teacher

    Ms Duerden is the Nursery teacher. She has worked at Moor Nook since 1998 and likes caravanning during the school holidays. Ms Duerden lives in Preston and has a grown up son and daughter and 5 lovely grandchildren.

  • Mrs Jackson

    Mrs Jackson joined Moor Nook School in 2010. She lives in Preston and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to stay fit and trim, by going to the gym and taking zumba classes.

  • Miss Moston

    Teaching Assistant

    Miss Moston is a a teaching assistant in the Early Years Foundation Stage. She enjoys spending her time with her niece, family and friends.

  • Miss Booth

    Miss Booth is a TA3 in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

    Teacher Year 2

    Miss Fann started working at Moor Nook in September 2018 and teaches Year 2. In her spare time she enjoys going on holiday, going to the gym, skiing and going for 'walkies' with her dog Millie.

    Miss Burton lives in Blackburn but is from Southampton. She enjoys teaching year One. When she isn't at work, she loves going away with her family and going on walks with her dog, Bertie.

    Teacher Year 3

    Miss English started working at Moor Nook in 2018 and teaches in Year 3. She lives in Lancaster and has recently moved from Bradford where she taught in Year 1 and 2. In her spare time she loves going on trips away with her family and friends. She has recently returned from maternity leave.

    Teacher Year 6

    Miss Coar is the Year 6 teacher.She started teaching at Moor Nook Primary School in September 2014. She has taught in Year 1 and Year 3. In November 2018, Miss Coar had some time away travelling the world. She travelled to South East Asia and South America. In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym to keep fit and socialise with her friends.

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Black is a teaching assistant also works in the Breakfast Club. She lives in Preston with her husband and has grown up children. Mrs Black enjoys doing car boot sales.

  • Miss Smalley

    Miss Smalley works in Year 1. She lives in St. Annes with her partner and young son. When she has some spare time she enjoys camping and kayaking in the Lake District.

  • Mrs Kelly

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Kelly is a teaching assistant in Year 1 and has worked at Moor Nook for many years. Mrs Kelly is a keen PNE supporter and enjoys riding her motorbike.

  • Miss McMullan

    Miss McMullan works in Year 2. She has worked at Moor Nook School for more than 20 years. She lives in Preston with her son. When she gets some free time she enjoys gardening and travelling round the world, she has visited many places including Dubai, Mexico, Poland, Las Vegas and New York.

  • Mrs Rushworth

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Rushworth is a teaching assistant in Key Stage 2. She has worked at Moor Nook School since 1997. She helps children develop their literacy and numeracy skills. Mrs Rushworth runs a very popular ICT club at lunchtimes. She lives with her husband and family in Preston and she enjoys going for long walks and holidays with her family.

  • Mrs Rufus

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Rufus is a teaching assistant, working in Key Stage 2. She has worked at Moor Nook School since the year 2000. She lives in Preston with her husband and five children. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, walking and going to the cinema.

  • Miss Hall

    Teaching Assistant

    Miss Hall is a teaching assistant in Key Stage 2, supporting children with their reading and phonics. Miss Hall enjoys keeping fit, by spinning and family bike rides with her son, around the Guild Wheel in Preston.

  • Mrs Ferguson-Ward

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Ferguson-Ward is a teaching assistant in Key Stage 2 and has worked here for over 16 years. She lives in Preston, with her partner and step-son. The family enjoy a curry night together every month, with her two grown up sons.

  • Mrs Yates

    Mrs Yates has worked at Moor Nook since 1997. She helps Year 5 pupils with English and Maths. Miss Vickers lives in Preston with her partner and young daughter.

  • Mrs Brown

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Brown is a teaching assistant in Year 2 and a member of the welfare team. She lives with her partner and two sons and her English bull terrier called Rudy Rokafella! She enjoys time away at her caravan and walking with her dog.

  • Mrs Wood

    Mrs Wood works with Year 6 children; supporting them with their English and Maths. She lives in Preston with her husband, three children and 'Rocky' the dog. She enjoys hiking, reading and running.

  • Mrs Nelson

    Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Nelson joined Moor Nook in 2013 and is a teaching assistant in Year 6. Mrs Nelson lives with her husband and two sons. Most of her spare time is spent on the touchline; watching her sons play football for their respective clubs, Ribbleton FC and Preston North End Academy.

    Miss Booth works as a welfare assistant and also makes toast in the morning. She enjoys spending time with her daughter.

    Cleaner and Welfare Assistant

    Miss Brown is a cleaner and a welfare assistant. She enjoys gardening and walking her dog Millie. She has worked at Moor Nook School for many years and has a grown up son.

  • Miss Evans

    Welfare Assistant

    Miss Evans works as a welfare assistant. She enjoys spending time with her three children, family and friends. She spends her weekends taking her dog Bruce out on walks and watching her daughter's Morris dancing every Sunday.
